As a guy who got his start in PR back in the leeches and bloodletting days with a job in healthcare communications, it's great to see the parent company continuing to invest in the sector with its recent acquisition of Rabin Martin (see below).
And as someone who had the opportunity to work with Rabin Martin boss Jeff Sturchio on some global health projects with the World Economic Forum a few years ago, I can say we're getting a good one.
As separate agencies in the Omnicom group, we'll have a tough new competitor in some areas - and that should make us better and stronger. And in areas where we are not competing, we have a powerful new collaborator for clients and prospects. Which also makes us better and stronger.
Rabin Martin has been a driving force in creating numerous high-profile global health initiatives to improve primary care, treat chronic disease, enhance women's health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Their roster of clients includes leading healthcare companies, non-profit organizations, foundations, and universities. The firm's long-standing relationships with key public-and private-sector health leaders help to catalyze major improvements in global public health around the globe.
