Author Marc Benioff, chair and CEO of Salesforce, points out the clear implications for business overall and PR people in particular:  trust and transparency as it relates to data. 

But I think it goes beyond how companies or institutions use data; every aspect of an organization's operations, policies and actions will be open for inspection, analysis and public reaction.
